Amazing Andamans – 6 Nights/7 Days

Port Blair | Havelock | Neil Island | Barang

Day 1: Arrival + City Tour + Cellular Jail and The light and sound show

Transfer to the hotel for check-in. After a brief rest, begin the tour of places in & around Port Blair (City Tour) – covering the Cellular Jail, Chatham Saw Mill (one of the oldest & largest in Asia), Forest Museum, Anthropological Museum, Fisheries (Marine) Museum, Naval Marine Museum (Samudrika). Next, attend the enthralling “Sound & Light Show” at Cellular Jail where the heroic saga of the Indian freedom struggle is brought to life, followed by a drop back to the hotel.

CELLULAR JAIL AND THE LIGHT AND SOUND SHOW – The history & migration to these archipelagos revolves around this monumental architecture – The Cellular Jail, also known as ‘Kala Pani’. It is an old colonial prison situated in Port Blair, the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Constructed by the British during their colonial rule in India, the Cellular Jail was used particularly to exile political prisoners where who were subjected to atrocities of the British. The construction of the jail began in the year 1896 and was completed in 1906, after which it was used to house many notable freedom fighters such as Batukeshwar Dutt, Yogendra Shukla, and Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. The jail complex is recognized as the national memorial monument showcasing the life of prisoners during the British period. After completing the jail visit, you will witness the light & sound show, which is a narration of the story of the jail.

Day 2: Port Blair – Swaraj Dweep Island (Havelock)

In the early morning catch the first available Cruise to Havelock Island. The cruise departs from 6.30 to 8.30 hours and we need to report at least 45 min earlier to finish the Screening and Embarkation procedure. Hence, taking a packed breakfast is the only convenient way. Once we board the cruise it will take approximately one & half hours to reach the Island, our local representative will receive you at the arrival area and assist you with the transfer to the hotel.

Later visit Radha Nagar beach. It is one of the most beautiful and famous beaches on the Island. We return to the hotel after sunset, which is a sight that cannot be missed.

Day 3: Elephanta Beach

Proceed to Elephanta Beach – Elephanta Beach is one of the most beautiful places on Havelock Island which is famous for its clear water, variety of live corals & colorful fishes. You can also participate in various water sports activities like Glass Bottom, Snorkeling, Banana Ride, Sofa Ride, etc.

Day 4: Swaraj Dweep Island (Havelock) – Port Blair

Proceed to the Havelock jetty to board the private ferry from Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) to Port Blair (Journey time is 1.5-2.5 hrs). On arrival, transfer to the hotel for check-in, and the rest of the evening is spent in leisure.

Day 5: Port Blair to Excursion to Coral island & Ross Island

You will be escorted to the Andaman Water Sports Complex to catch a ferry which will be your mate for the entire excursion to Ross Island and North Bay.

North Bay – It is also called “The Gate-Way to Port Blair”. This place is famous for its breathtaking coral reefs, exotic verities of beautiful ornamental fishes, and water sports activities. The stretch of the coral bed leaves you spellbound. North Bay is the foremost snorkeling point of Andaman. Apart from snorkeling and glass-bottom boat ride, and scuba diving, an underwater sea walk facility is also available at North Bay.

Ross Island – It was the Capital of Port Blair during the British and Japanese regimes, prior to India’s Independence. It was named after Sir Daniel Ross, a marine surveyor and nicknamed “The Paris of the East”. It is now under the supervision of the Indian Navy. This island is an ideal destination for nature walks amidst sylvan surroundings with deer, peacocks, and other exotic birds.

Day 6: Port Blair – Baratang – Port Blair

Depart early in the morning from Port Blair for Baratang, about 150kms via road from Port Blair. The land route from Port Blair (3.5hrs) involves crossing creeks and dense tropical rain forests. Once you reach the creek, you will need to take a short ferry ride. Once you reach the other side, our driver will assist with the boat tickets and forest permits. Based on the ticket, proceed to your sharing boat and embark on a short boat ride through amazing mangroves and then proceed to see the exotic Limestone Caves which involves a 1km walk to the caves. Return and leave from Baratang for Port Blair by car (150 km).

Baratang: Baratang Island is 100 km by road from Port Blair between the South and Middle Andaman, popular for mangroves, mud volcanoes, and limestone caves. The prime attraction of the journey to the island is the lush green tropical rainforest on Andaman Trunk Road and the crossing water channels where boats carry vehicles. The boat ride to the Limestone Caves passes through magnificent narrow mangrove creeks. Evening at Leisure. After completion of the tour return back to Port Blair.

Day 7: Port Blair – Departure

Transfer to the Airport for your return flight home.
