Kailash Manasarovar – 11 Nights/12 Days

According to Hindus Mythology, Lord Shiva spends his most of his time on the top of the holy Mount Kailash, practicing Yogic austerities, joy, and love with his divine consort Parbati (Mother of Mythology). The Lake Mansarovar and the holy Mount Kailash are the souls of all AUM followers in the world. Conventional wisdom says a single circuit of Mt. Kailash wipes out the sins of a lifetime, and 108 Parikramas guarantee enlightenment. A ritual bath in the sacred Mansarovar Lake delivers pilgrims to Brahma’s paradise and a drop drink of its water relinquishes the sins of hundreds of lifetimes.

Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu

Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu (1350m) and transfers to the hotel and do check-in. After checking in to the hotel short briefing for the Kailash tour and other necessary information.

Overnight in the hotel.

Day 2: Half-day Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley and fly to Nepalgunj.

Proceed for a sightseeing tour in Kathmandu. Visit Pashupatinath temple, Mata Guheswori temple & Budhanilkantha temple, and take a 1-hour flight to Nepalgunj, On Arrival at Nepalgunj, check in to the Hotel.

Overnight in hotel.

Day 3: Nepaljung – Simikot (2910m) Fly Simikot – Hilsa and reach Taklakot in Tibet (4025m).

Simikot is a hilly area of Nepal situated at 2910m, the gateway for the Kailash tour by Helicopter. Early Morning, drive to Nepalgunj airport to fly Simikot with scheduled flight and it is only 45 minutes flight with tiny airplane 25 minutes flight only allows 10 kg bags for each person and Fly with 5/6 chartered helicopter to Hilsa from Simikot. Cross the Nepal-Tibet border by finishing the immigration process of Nepal and Tibet. Drive 27 km to Taklakot.

Overnight at Hotel.

Day 4: Taklakot.

Rest day at Taklakot. Staying one overnight here is for body acclimatization at a high altitude.

Day 5: Taklakot to Manasarovar (4550m – 2 Hours)

We start a drive to reach one of the holy and beautiful lakes “MANASAROVAR” at 4550m Elevation. It is an 88 km distance from Taklakot to Manasarover and will take a maximum of 2 hours. On the way, there is another called RAKAS Lake we stop there for a picture and enjoy the view few minutes. Then continue driving to Manasarovar. Later, Start driving for Manasarovar kora with the vehicle.

Overnight at Guest House.

Day 6: Manasarovar exploration and drive to Darchen (4575m – 1 Hr)

Exploration and ritual puja at the bank of Lake Manasarovar. You also can keep it at Sarovar. Later short drive to Darchen. Preparation for Kailash Kora.

Overnight at Hotel.

Day 7:  Start Kailash Kora and reach Derapuk. (4920m – 5/6 Hours)

We drive to Tarboche (Valley of God), whoever books personal horse and helper waiting there for some formalities of Tibetan government. Start Kailash Kora. It takes 4-5 hours walking to reach Derapuk the north face of holy Kailash.

Overnight at Guest House.

Day 8: The second day of Kailash Kora. Derapuk to Juthulpuk

Early Morning start to walk, Few hours walking is going up until Dolmala Pass (5613m), this is our main destination of Kailash kora. When we reach the top of the pass, take some pictures and start to walk down as soon as possible, after a few meters of walking, there is Gaurikunda situated on the right and 200 meters down from our trail. Continue to walk down for around 2 hours, we will meet the flat trail and continue walking until Zuthulpuk. Total walking distance 22 km with 8-9 hours.

Overnight stay at Guest House.

Day 9: Third day Kailash Kora

Finish Kailash Kora and drive to Taklakot Hilsa. After walking for 3 hours, Drive Darchen and Drive to Takla Kot cross border.

Overnight at Hilsa.

Day 10: Fly Hilsa – Simikot – Nepaljung and Kathmandu

Early morning fly from Hilsa to Simikot, then continue to fly to Nepalgunj. In Nepalgunj, our group can split if any member goes from Nepalgunj to Lakhnaw, and other members fly to Kathmandu. In the evening we will have a short meeting about the whole yatra.

Day 11:  Kathmandu

Day 12: Departure

Drop you at the airport for the return journey.
