Turkey and Greece – 9 Nights/10 Days

Day 1:  Istanbul

Arrive in Istanbul and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 2:  Byzantine & Ottoman Relics Tour

Depart to visit the Hagia Sophia a 5th-century church, once the greatest in all the world. The next stop is at the Blue Mosque renowned for its striking blue Iznik tiled interior. Afterward, visit the ancient Roman Hippodrome. Later, visit the Imperial Palace of Topkapi from which Ottoman Sultans ruled their grand empire for over 400 years, and visit the Suleymaniye Mosque. Later transfer back to the hotel.

Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 3:  Cappadocia Tour 1

Depart from your hotel to visit Devrent Valley to see the unique fairy chimneys. Drive toPasabag (Monk’s Valley) to see the most interesting mushroom-shaped pinnacles. In the afternoon visit another beautiful open air museum at Goreme where the remains of rock-cut churches and Christian settlements date back hundreds of years. Lastly, before returning to your hotel visit the natural castles at Uchisar.

Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 4:  Cappadocia Tour 2

Depart from your hotel to visit Red valley, explore the famous rock-cut churches and hike 5 km through the Gulludere valley (Rose valley). Then visit Cavuşin village. This village is famous for the houses and churches of Christian clergymen. In the afternoon visit Kaymaklı underground city. Where early Christians lived in fear and faith. On the way back visit the natural castles at Ortahisar. After the tour transfer to Kayseri airport.
Flight to Izmir then transfer to your Hotel in Kusadasi (Ephesus).

Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 4:  Pamukkale & Hierapolis Tour

Departure for Gallipoli which is 5 hours drive from Istanbul. We will visit; Kabatepe Museum, which contains relics from the campaign including original diary extracts and letters, and Brighton Beach, the intended landing place. Lunch, Beach Cemetery on the southern tip of Anzac Cove, the landing place of the first wave of Australian and New Zealand troops and home to up to 30.000 troops during the campaign, Lone Pine Australian Memorial, site of the successful attack and capture of Turkish trenches by the Australians during the August offensive, Johnston’s Jolly where you will visit the original Allied and Turkish trenches and tunnels, The Nek, Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial, captured by the New Zealanders during the August offensive.

Overnight in Canakkale.

Day 5:  Troy and Pergamum Tour

Drive to Pamukkale and visit; Pamukkale and the ancient city of Hierapolis with the Temple of Apollo, the breathtaking Theater, the fascinating Necropolis, and the last the great baths of Hierapolis antique city, where St. Philip was martyred. St. Philip is connected with the early church in Hierapolis and played an important role in Pamukkale the history of the city. Finally, we visit the calcium terraces and pools. After the tour transfer to Denizli airport then flight to Istanbul. Upon your arrival in Istanbul, we will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 6:  Istanbul to Athens – Mykonos

On arrival in Athens, you will be transferred to the port of Rafina to take the ferry to Mykonos. Arrive in the evening at Mykonos & transfer to your hotel.

Day 7:  Mykonos

The day is at leisure as you enjoy all Mykonos has to offer, from beautiful sandy beaches to archaeological wonders to extravagant nightlife!

Overnight in Mykonos.

Day 8: Mykonos – Athens

The morning is free time to enjoy the last swim in the blue crystal waters or some last shopping. Later transfer by ferry to Athens. Arrive at the port of Piraeus and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free.

Overnight in Athens.

Day 9:  Athens

In the morning, visit all of the famous Athens sites on a City Tour (on SIC BASIS) including the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, and the famous Acropolis.
Return to the hotel and have free time to rest. In the evening we suggest you do a walk-in Plaka the area where you will find a lot of shops for souvenirs and a lot of restaurants.

Overnight in Athens.

Day 10: Departure

Transfer to the airport for your return journey.
